Zoe-perry

Perry was born on the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in her role on the ABC comedy Roseanne. In fear of stress, her parents didn't want to see performing before she reached the age of 18. Perry claimed she felt timid to perform at the age of 16, but she began acting in theater classes at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer to the university from Boston University. After graduating Perry moved in New York to search for television work landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought Perry back home to California and she was able to find theatre work. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway with her for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father portrayed her in the ABC show Scandal. The actress also portrayed in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role despite her close relationship with the character's family.
